Plum Thyme Prosecco Cocktail

Thanksgiving! What is not to love about a holiday centered around being grateful and eating delicious food? I’m a fan. My head naturally goes to beer and red wine for Thanksgiving dinner, but I think there is something fun about a sparkling cocktail. Since most people tend to get the day started pretty early, it feels appropriate to have a ‘brunchy’ cocktail anyway. This Plum Thyme Prosecco Cocktail fits the bill. The thyme and plum provide an interesting flavor and the Prosecco provides a nice compliment to the sweetness of the plum.

I can’t believe we are on our fifth episode of the Crunchy Cocktail Hour! Seems like we just launched. On this episode, we discuss our Thanksgiving Traditions and tips and tricks for staying healthy over the holidays. This is my second Thanksgiving with dietary restrictions and I am looking forward to trying out some new recipes. Check out my Thanksgiving board on Pinterest for some fantastic, allergy-friendly┬árecipes. As you’ll hear, I celebrate two Thanksgivings every year – Canadian Thanksgiving in October and American Thanksgiving in November. Didn’t realize that was a thing? You’re not alone. Check out this article on the differences between the two holidays.

Plum Thyme Prosecco Cocktail

This recipe calls for a thyme simple syrup. Check out this super simple recipe. Also, this recipe requires muddling plum and thyme simple syrup. If you don’t have a muddler – you need one! You can get one at any home goods store, but here is a good one from Amazon: OXO Steel Muddler with Non-Scratch Nylon Head and Soft Non-Slip Grip

Give this recipe a try for Thanksgiving, brunch or any random day for a bit of fun. I hope you enjoy!

Cheers!
